Two Families Fleeing From Mariupol After Experiencing The Horrors Of The ruzzian Invasion In Ukraine Need Your Help

/ May 9, 2022

We are imploring for assistance on behalf of two families along with their mother-in-law, a total of 10, from Mariupol Ukraine. They fled from Mariupol after experiencing the tragic horrors of the war in Ukraine. They had to pass the stressful Russian checkpoints, with constant shelling over their heads and surrounded by tanks, mined roads and burning military equipment.
They have escaped into Latvia and from there to Germany and are seeking to come to the USA to stay with their sister Hanna Pikul.

Hanna already hosts a Christian family from Mariupol, who called her a few weeks ago crying out for help. She couldn’t say no. Hannah’s family (9 kids on her own) borrowed money to purchase tickets for them.

For more than a month, Hanna was worried about her family trapped in Mariupol having no news from them. Then she finally received a call from her brother and sister saying that only by God’s mercy and prayers they are still alive. Their homes are totally destroyed and there’s absolutely nothing left. Hanna asked them to flee somehow to another country and then we will try to get them to the USA.

So fasting and prayers began for her relatives to be able to flee Mariupol. About five days later there was a little less bombing and shelling so with prayers and God’s protection they were able to get to the russian border safely.
Hanna found a Christian family in Russia and asked them to meet Volodymyr and Yuliia’s families at the border. Long story short, they fed them and gave them clothes to wear. And finally, for the first time in a month, they were able to take a shower and had enough water to drink. Then another Christian family drove them in their van to the Church in Latvia. On April 26th they finally arrived in Germany.

According to these saved families, “Hollywood writers, if they tried to make a film, couldn’t accurately convey the depth of the horrors that took place in Mariupol.”
We ask for financial aid in purchasing the airplane tickets for the whole family and helping them to start here from zero.
We have a team in Providence Haven Mission who are willing to provide all the further assistance (translation, documentation, etc.) they need.

We currently help families who have already arrived in the Cleveland area, TN, and anticipate many more.
As for now, about 10 families need everyday necessities for their homes and transportation. That’s why we kindly ask you for a donation.

Please support us however you can. With your support and donations, we can give hope and save more people from the horror of the war.

Contact us if you need help, willing to support or have any questions.

Thank you for your willingness to help bear the burden of the suffering people of Ukraine. Thank you for not turning a blind eye to the urgent needs of the growing number of refugees. We pray for compassion, and goodwill in the hearts of all brothers and sisters in Christ.
